How earthing works with our earthing products
In these videos, we show you how earthing works with our products: The electrical tension on your body is discharged, you feel liberated and are no longer «energised».
Grounding the desk pad
When we work at a computer, our bodies are electrostatically charged. The video shows how an ErdVital employee measures the voltage with a multimeter.
- As soon as your hands or arms touch our special grounding desk pad, the charge on your body disappears almost completely.
- The voltmeter available in our shop shows this voltage very well (the 3800 millivolts on the body go down to approx. 30 millivolts).
This only works because our earthing mat is connected to a normal, earthed socket via a cable. It dissipates the electrostatic voltage. A simple, physical process. This puts less strain on the body, which has positive health effects.
Grounding the mattress
Our body is also electrically charged at night when we sleep. An earthed fitted sheet with pillowcase reduces body tension and supports restful sleep. The video shows the test with the multimeter, which is available in our shop:
- Without earthing, the voltage remains high, with earthing it drops immediately.
- The voltmeter shows this very clearly (3800 millivolts). A very high value that can impair sleep.
The bed in the video is covered with our special fixed earthing sheet. As soon as you sit or lie on the bed, the electrostatic voltage disappears: the voltmeter practically goes below 50 millivolts. The fixed sheet is connected to a normal, earthed socket via a cable and discharges the electrostatic voltage.
Measuring with the multimeter / voltmeter
The device for measuring body voltage is called a «multimeter» or «voltmeter» and operates in AC or DC mode. The Basetech multimeter from our shop clearly shows the difference before and after earthing.
