Electrical devices recharge us

Is electrostatic charge harmful to my health?

In our daily lives, we are constantly surrounded by electric fields—from power lines, Wi-Fi, chargers, and light bulbs. These fields electrically charge our bodies. When we ground ourselves, this electrical charge can be discharged. The body returns to the same electrical level as the earth—calm, balanced, and relaxed.

Why Grounding Can Be Beneficial

Electrical devices, synthetic fibers, and modern living environments can contribute to the buildup of electrical tension in the body. Grounding allows for the continuous dissipation of this tension and is based on natural contact with the earth.

Grounding: The Power of Direct Contact with the Earth

When you stand barefoot on natural ground, your body’s electrical charge is naturally balanced. Our grounding products allow you to benefit from this principle even while you sleep, at your desk, and in your daily life.

Health Effects of Increased Muscle Tension

In modern living and working environments, electric fields can cause a measurable body voltage. This value can be detected using appropriate measuring devices. As soon as direct contact is made with the ground or a grounded object, the body voltage can often be significantly reduced.

Many people find lower electrical body voltage to be pleasant, especially during periods of rest and sleep. Since the body regenerates primarily at night, some people prefer to minimize their exposure to electric fields in the bedroom. Grounding products allow for direct contact with the earth’s potential and are therefore frequently used in everyday life, at work, and in the bedroom.

Electrostatic Charging

The Body as an Antenna

Electrical appliances, power lines, and modern living spaces generate electric fields. The human body can absorb these fields, thereby building up a measurable electrical charge.

Fundamentals of Physics

The Earth has a natural electrical potential. As soon as a person comes into direct contact with the Earth—for example, by walking barefoot on grass, soil, or sand—a natural electrical charge equalization takes place between the body and the Earth.

In our modern environment, we are often isolated from the earth by the soles of our shoes, flooring, and synthetic materials. At the same time, we are surrounded by electrical devices, power lines, and electromagnetic fields. This can cause a measurable electrical charge to build up in the body.

Natural Charge Balancing While Sleeping

The human body regenerates primarily during sleep. At the same time, we are surrounded today by electronic devices, power lines, and synthetic materials that can contribute to measurable bodily tension.

Grounding products allow for natural charge balancing through the earth’s potential and bring the principle of walking barefoot on grass or soil into the bedroom. That is why grounding is used particularly often at night.

The Benefits You Get from Our Products

Grounding as a Solution: Your Path to Balance

Electrical body voltage can be detected using appropriate measuring instruments. As soon as direct contact is made with the ground or a grounded object, this body voltage can be significantly reduced.

Grounding during sleep and daily life is based on the same principle as walking barefoot on grass, soil, or sand. Grounding products conveniently bring this natural charge balancing to the bedroom, the workplace, or the living area.

The Effect of Grounding on Recovery

Grounding & Health: Scientific Studies

There are various scientific studies that have examined the relationship between muscle tension, grounding, and health. In particular, the effect of grounding on inflammation regulation and regeneration has been the focus of numerous pilot studies and clinical analyses.

Sleeping with a Grounding Mat

This study examined the effect of grounded sleep (using a conductive mattress pad) on healthy participants following intense eccentric exercise (downhill running), compared to a control group. The grounded sleep phase resulted in less performance decline (e.g., CMJ and drop jump) and lower levels of inflammatory markers (e.g., IP-10, MIP-1α, sP-selectin). These findings suggest improved recovery thanks to grounding fitted sheets.

Fewer sleep problems, pain, and stress

In this pilot study, 12 people with sleep, pain, or stress problems were grounded at night for eight weeks using a grounding mat placed on their mattresses. Salivary cortisol levels (measured at 4-hour intervals over 24 hours) were measured before and after the intervention. In addition, the researchers collected subjective data on sleep quality, pain, and stress. The results showed that nighttime cortisol levels decreased and the 24-hour profile became more consistent with a normal rhythm. Sleep problems, pain, or stress decreased in nearly all participants.

Hormonal Changes

This study examined several experiments (e.g., electrolyte and hormone excretion) in grounded versus ungrounded subjects. Significant changes were observed in calcium-phosphate balance, metabolism, and glucose levels. The authors conclude that the body’s contact with the earth influences physiological processes, including those in the endocrine and nervous systems.

Patients who are grounded have better blood test results

Improved blood and saliva samples

Eight healthy participants underwent eccentric exercise (gastrocnemius muscles). Four of them were grounded (via conductive contacts) and four were not. Over a 72-hour period, blood and saliva levels (enzymes, cortisol), as well as pain and pressure measurements, were recorded, among other things. Grounded participants showed more favorable results: lower CK levels and less pain. This suggests accelerated recovery.

Summary of Health Effects

These studies confirm that high bodily tension and a lack of grounding can influence inflammatory processes. Grounding plays a supportive role in maintaining health and promoting regeneration. Reducing electrical tension—for example, at night using grounding mats—has positive effects on health:
